El Instituto Independencia realizó una reunión a distancia

En la tarde del jueves 16 de abril, se hizo una conferencia a distancia de algunos de los directivos del Instituto Independencia. Los compañeros Luis Basterra, Felisa Miceli, Pedro Biscay, Javier Araujo, Daniela Bambill y Julio Fernández Baraibar se encontraron, después de un mes, para analizar y conversar sobre la situación argentina en el marco de la pandemia global del Coronavirus.
Obviamente, entre los temas considerados estuvo el manejo argentino de la pandemia y la cuarentena propuesta por el presidente de la Nación y las autoridades sanitarias. Se puntualizó el amplio apoyo recogido en el seno del pueblo -sobre todo por los sectores a los que les resulta más pesada la medida- a las decisiones presidenciales. Incluso los periodistas que buscan respuestas airadas en sus entrevistados encuentran respuestas de apoyo al presidente Alberto Fernández.
Conversaron también sobre la situación económica y, sobre todo, sobre el discurso del ministro de Economía y la política a seguir frente a los acreedores internacionales privados. Fue unánime la opinión de que el presidente Alberto Fernández y su decisión de no pagar la deuda contraída por el gobierno de Mauricio Macri con el sacrificio del pueblo argentino. Se destacó también el amplio apoyo recibido por el presidente de parte de la totalidad de los dirigentes opositores con responsabilidad de gobierno. La presencia del jefe de gobierno de la CABA, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, el principal dirigente del PRO con responsabilidad gubernamental, dio a la propuesta presidencial un robusto apoyo nacional, de cara a los círculos financieros internacionales.
Se coincidió en que la salida de la cuarentena y la puesta en marcha de la economía argentina después de la crisis no será fácil, pero se destacó que nuestro país puede enfrentar esa salida con ciertas ventajas comparativas. La reactivación del mercado interno será sin duda uno de los mecanismos de esa salida, así como la relativa consistencia de los precios internacionales sobre nuestras commodities.
Uno de los temas que generó un rico debate fue la resistencia del sector financiero bancario en aceptar las obligaciones que surgen de la crisis. Se analizó la idea de que fuese directamente el Banco Central, a través de una ampliación del encaje bancario, el encargado de entregar los créditos a las PyMes, sin necesidad de recurrir a los bancos privados.
Se decidió que cada uno de los miembros tomasen algunos aspectos de la realidad económica, política y social para elaborar una declaración sobre el especial momento que vive el país.
